National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the United Negro College Fund–UNCF are partnering in a Text-to-Donate campaign to ensure that seniors at UNCF member colleges have the financial resources to graduate on time

For the first time the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the United Negro College Fund–UNCF are partnering in a Text-to-Donate campaign to ensure that seniors at UNCF member colleges have the financial resources to graduate on time. The Councils of Presidents, which consists of Chairman Dwayne M. Murray, Esq. - Kappa Alpha Psi; Vice Chairman Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre - Delta Sigma Theta; Carolyn House Stewart, Esq.- Alpha Kappa Alpha; Herman "Skip" Mason, Jr. - Alpha Phi Alpha; Sheryl P. Underwood - Zeta Phi Beta; Karl Price, Esq. - Iota Phi Theta; Joann G. Loveless – Sigma Gamma Rho; Jimmy Hammock - Phi Beta Sigma; and Andrew Ray, Ph.D. - Omega Psi Phi are rallying around the late-January broadcast of UNCF An Evening o f Stars® Tribute to Chaka Khan and the UNCF Campaign for Emergency Student Aid (CESA) to raise $250,000 to support recession-impacted, graduating seniors who need to pay off balances for tuition, books as well as room and board before they can receive their diplomas. The UNCF Campaign for Emergency Student Aid (CESA) has a goal to raise $250,000. The funds will be used to support graduating seniors who need to pay off balances for tuition, books as well as room and board before they can receive their diplomas.

From January 1st through February 28th, supporters of each Greek organization will be able to text-to-donate. We will text UNCF ZPB to 50555 to make a donation to UNCF. The UNCF is asking for a $10 text donation from 2,777 members; however I know that our members will want to put their full weight behind this effort so I am asking all Zetas, Zeta Auxiliary Members, Friends and Families members of Zetas to donate $20 per individual to symbolize our founding in 1920. Z-HOPE points will be awarded to chapters or auxiliaries donating a minimum of $100.

UNCF An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Chaka Khan will air nationally on Saturday, January 29th, and on BET Networks on Sunday, January 30th at 10 p.m . as well other channels.
